Removing old graphics

Would like to remove the graphics off our Class A. Use a hair dryer to help remove? What about the visible marks where the old graphics were removed. Any particular vendors or thickness of vinyl needed. Appreciate your comments and knowledge on this. Thank you in advance.

I used a rubber wheel that mounts onto a drill motor. Kind of like a big eraser. I tried a heat gun first, no luck, the decals were just too old.

Any auto supply that sells automotive paint and body supplies will have one, get the arbor for it to mount it into a drill.

3M sells a rubber eraser wheel that works great. I paid under $40 at Advance Auto. I thought the price was high, until I used it. Well worth the price. I removed 9 swoosh decals in the same time I partially removed 1 with a scraper and heat gun. It removes the vinyl decal and adhesive.

  • Currently working to remove mine. I am using a heat gun on low, with plastic single edge razor blades. Have to have a blade holder because of the heat. I have a bottle of Rapid Remover that a friend suggested for the sticky stuff, but haven't gotten to that point yet. My plan is to paint them back on in the same place as the stickers.

I found 100 razor blades on ebay for around $6, and the Rapid Remover on Amazon for around $26.

    Good luck.
