Restringing Day/Nite Shades - Grommet?

I have a couple of Day/Nite shades that need restringing and I have never been able to get the new grommets that come with the restring kit to fit back into the grommet hole. Is there a secret in how to replace the grommets? Hope someone can help.

Might take an X-Acto knife to help it along. Just make sure the grommet is installed correctly. Allot of these shades fail because its in upside down.
