after I raised my TT the factory steps seem to come up short. So I needed just one step. Couldn't buy a 3 step unit to replace the 2 step. None would fit. Moride couldn't help. So I ordered a single step, and mounted it on the bottom step. I made so that it can be easily removed, or installed. made it so that it would work on either the front or back steps.
Now DW won't fall out of the camper so easy.
I've love to see how you did this- especially with being easy to remove and whatnot. Sounds like a very useful solution!

Simple solution.
We have the GlowStep Revolution Steps and added a 5th step and still find that there are times that we need a little more lift! This new rig is crazy.
We do similar to Cummins but with a step that has adjustable feet. It was spendy, but it helps with the slope and terrain issues that Terry mentions in a later comment.

I measured across the bottom step. Mine came to 24 and 3/8 inches. I looked on line for a step whose mounting bracket was very close to those measurements. I found a single step that the mounting bracket measured 25" across and the "wings" on top were formed to the inside. so that it will slide over the bottom step, and the "wings" are well over the step. The top brackets have 2 holes on each side. So I just bored down thru the back holes in the bracket, and thru the bottom step. Got 2 1" bolts and wing nuts. drop the bolts thru and tighten to snug . Bam it's on. when I want it off. Just spin the bolts out, and it is off. It is REAL steady, and only takes a minute to install.
I also thought, actually stole the idea off line, that I could put a brace under either the 2nd step, or the add a step. But instead of buying a brace off line. I figured the bottle jack would do the trick, and it does.
I have not yet figured out how to post pictures on this forum. Seems it is pretty tricky. Got lucky with the sig pic. Would like to update it. Just won't work. But then I would lose Rudy the camper guard dog.
