- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Many folks use the fridge vent. Some use the plumbing vent. My prewire from the Factory was down the fridge vent. - garyhauptExplorerx2 on the fridge vent. Both my solar installs went via same.
Gary Haupt - TOMMY47ExplorerFrom the roof?
Where do they show up inside? - othertonkaExplorerFrom the roof, down the Refer vent and you take off the refer vent cover on the side of the RV and then you can find a existing hole or drill one to run the wire into the RV where1ver you need it to end up, n1ear the charge controller or house battery. It is easier if you remove the 4 screws on the roof that holds the refer vent in place. That way you have a visual to guide the wire down, staying away from the exhaust stack. Be sure that you have some dicor caulking to cover the screws when you reinstall the screws.
- austinjennaExplorerOn my old fiver it was the fridge vent, on my new one I used one of the vent tubes since it was much closer.
- DaveG39ExplorerOn mine, no fridge vent on roof. Used gray water vent stack which went down to the control center then down to basement. Wire went inside the vent cover then down the outside of the stack pipe. Ran wires to controller which I installed at the control center then down to the batteries using wire loom to protect wires. Used wire ties along the way to secure.
