- DavisKExplorerI have one of these TST TPMS systems for my 5th wheel. It monitors pressure and temperature. At pit stops I check the hub/bearing temperature using a sensor like one of these infrared thermometer.
- PartyMartyExplorerI spent the money upgrading to an LT tire with a much higher load rating as posted on the sidewall.
available on tire rack are 225 /70 R 15 LT tires
Goodyear Cargo G 26
Continental Vanco 2
both are rated at 2450 # weight .
I only need 4 because unlike the 1820 # rated on the ST scale originals I have so much reserve the spare has never seen the ground .
Besides , around camp I have plenty of slack time to check the psi on the tt anyway . - MPI_MallardExplorerI have the Tire Minderclick On both Truck and fiver, a top-notch out-fit with EXELLENT customer service and I highly recommend their product! Also get the signal booster.
- RoyBExplorer III have them on my truck tires only. They came with my 2010 truck. The tire monitor sensor for each tire works great with the truck built-in tire monitor. Was thinking of adapting something similar for the trailer tires..
I'm guessing I have something like this on the inside of my tires with a small battery included with the assy.. Must be a wireless thing...
Of course that is something I do before starting the trips and at every pit stop along the way...
If I make it automatic I wouldn't have much to do at a pit stop. I still will have to feel the wheel bearings anyway... Might as well measure the air pressure with a manual gauge..
On my truck about the only time I see anything is when it gets real cold and Lose tire pressure haha... brings up an alert on the info panel...
