- 2oldmanExplorer IIHeavens no. Not that it matters, but I rarely patronize these ever-popular truck stops simply because they're always busy and your chances of running into idiots increase.
- We_Cant_WaitExplorerI'd be knocking on their door INFORMING THEM of PROPER PROCEDURES for using fuel pumps at truck stops.

If I understand your comment, you are not inline behind the Class A. If so, how would he know someone is waiting to fuel.
That said, It was rude of him not to leave.
I have been in line to fuel when I think the RV in front is taking to long to move after fueling and have walked to to see what's the matter. I don't hesitate to inquire as to why not move ahead. - bob_nestorExplorer IIIHappens all the time, even in the gas pump lanes. People now days seem to think they're the center of the universe and the whole world revolves around them - they have no respect or empathy for others. But wait until something like that happens to them - they'll be screaming at their Representatives for new laws, running to their lawyers, yelling at the proprietor of the business that "they should do something".
Short of hitting them over the head with a clue-by-four there's not much you can do. Just wish we could bring back the stockades in the town square and publicly shame them for their behavior. - Mortimer_BrewstExplorer IISome people believe the world does not revolve around the sun, but in fact revolves around themselves. They would undoubtedly get upset at someone interrupting their meal. I've seen thoughtless people like this many times.
Last week at a gas pump I saw a guy open his door and throw a half empty can of soda on the ground. He was 5 feet from a trash can. 30 seconds later his son did the same thing. People are amazing. - DutchmenSportExplorerNot at Loves, because we don't stop there, and we definitely don't get fuel there. But it happens quite often at regular (auto) gas stations. And it's even more frustrating when there is only 1 island for diesel and someone filling with gas goes inside and piddles around, then comes out and pumps their gas (paid ahead I guess), then proceed to go back inside again and piddle even longer. I've waited as long as 20 minutes in the past for one car to finish their business and move out of the way. And when you're rig is as long as a semi truck, you just can't always go around and find another pump! Been stuck like that several times! Yup.... no fun at all. Makes you wonder where people's head are.
Good grief.... even when I'm towing the trailer, when I'm done filling filling up diesel, I move away from the pumps and park somewhere else if I need to go inside the store for anything else. (usually do, for bathrooms). But yea, several times, we've waited 20 minutes or longer for one vehicle to move out of the way. It's all about "them" you know! - midnightsadieExplorer III

Had someone do this to me once last Summer. We'd been on the road for a couple hours, needed a good break. I'm pumping fuel (diesel), the pump is running slow. Sometimes they run real slow! And 35 - 37 gallons takes time.
So, as it's pumping, I'm washing the windshield of the truck. I did the passenger side first. My truck, I literally have to crawl on the hood to reach the middle. By now, the guy behind me is getting a bit "anxious." I get the passenger side done, and now reaching to do the drivers side. I just get done with the windshield (mind you, the pump is STILL running) ....
The guy behind walks up to me and get's a little vocal and asks, "How much longer are you going to be!" I looked at him for a moment, looked at the pump and saw it was STILL filling, thought for a moment, and in a real ... real ... real... serious tone of voice said .... "I suppose when I get done washing ALL my windows.... including the trailer!"... Oh boy, was he pi$$ed! He turned around and went back to his car. He then zoomed around and pulled into another pump.
(I hope that wasn't you. But I was doing all I could to keep from becoming an A$$ myself with him!) - beemerphile1ExplorerI can't imagine anything like that happening other than the numerous threads I have read on this forum about the same complaint. :B
- gboppExplorerAs always, you can't fix rude/stupid.
