Weight of rv awning.

The awning on my rig is a standard manual pull down, retractable leg 12ft awning. I've been wondering how much the whole assembly weighs. Any ideas?
  • I'd guess 50-70lbs based on my ability to pick one up off the ground.
  • Go online and put one in a shopping cart, then see what the shipping weight is. Easy, peasy!
  • I could handle a 16' by myself on gravel with one leg. NOTE: I said handle not control.
  • I'm not real sure, but when one of the roller arms breaks in half with about 80 gallons of water, it will knock you about 8 feet and put a big old knot on your noggin. It will also feel like you are drowning because it takes several seconds (felt like hours) for that water to get out of there!! I think mine weighed about 3 tons!!

    Ask me how I know!!!

    From the CW site -

    Technical Specs
    Tech Specs

Weight: 70 lbs. - that is for the 12' roller and fabric

add the arms.. I would guess total is 80-85 lbs...total
