- GaryWTExplorerI am on the side of have never. Don't have one at home either. If I like the temp where the fridge is set then good to go. If I feel things are warmer than they should be then I turn it down a level. One a season I turn it off the get the frost off the fins and out of the freezer. Turn it on and touch the fins after a bit to be sure they are getting cold. Good to go.
- DustyRExplorerI went high tech and occasionally use my cooking thermometer to check both the freezer and refrigerator. Finally if its melting, that is not good.
- dodge_guyExplorer III have an indoor/outdoor thermometer. one of my old remote thermometers had the humidity reading go bad, so I put that one in the fridge, the good one is outside the trailer. the base station scrolls between the 2. The one that reads HH (High Humidity) is the fridge reading. has been working great for the last 3 years!
- mowermechExplorerI use a cheap refrigerator thermometer that I purchased at Target.
It hangs on the rack in the frig, no batteries, just s simple little alcohol thermometer.
It works. - Ray___JuneExplorer

We use an AcuRite dual fridge/freezer remote reading thermometer. It shows us the two temps as well as min/max readings, and also has alarm settings to warn us if the temps get too far out of range.
AcuRite 00986 Refrigerator/Freezer Wireless Digital Thermometer
X whatever!
The monitor fits in our Itasca's control center like it was made for it, except it's white instead of black. - RaftenExplorer

I threw caution to the wind and bought two. One for the fridge and one for the freezer. I lose more cold air opening the door and then trying to remember why I opened it in the first place. - 4aSongExplorer

X2 - jnharleyExplorerWe use the AcuRite too and no we do not stand around looking at the temps all day. But we do check it periodically since these fridges are prone to problems. Our Norcold 10 cf seems to go into some sort of defrost cycle for the fins at least once a day. We have never had the fins get ice on them.
