- FlyingPickleExplorerI use a battery disconnect that you can buy at most auto parts stores. The only downside is I need to reset the radio security.

Question, Why do you have to leave the key on thus causing the GPS to be on?
On my 2011 CR-V I have to leave the key on in order to unlock the steering wheel prior to towing it. I installed a switch onto the fuse so I just flip the switch to turn off the fuse-no more climbing under the dash.
Actually you don't. Try this, turn key to full ON, turn key to full OFF, DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY. Now turn your steering wheel back and forth. Your steering interlock should not engage until you remove the key. And no the key by itself will not fall out of the ignition while towing.
Most all Asian imports built since 2009 have had this "feature" built in to their steering columns and no the manufacturer will never tell you about it. - sh4717Explorer

- JimandLauraExplorerThanks, found it in my owners manual.
Laura - Beverley_KenExplorerx2 on what dicknellen said. The charge line will keep the battery fully charged without pulling the fuse. Your owners manual will tell you (with description) of which fuse to pull.
The pulling of the fuse disables the electronics that run in the background even if the audio system is manually turned off. Found this out by accident one day, I was doing the walk around and heard my sister in laws voice in the car, no one there. When I got back in the MH, DW says the cell phone keeps cutting out, turns out the voice was going through the blue tooth to the car, instead of the phone.
Ken - ughExplorerI am curious. Why is there a need to do that?
- dicknellenExplorer IIIt is listed in my owners manual on my 2013 CRV. Please check your owners manual, don't rely on forum answers. If someone with a older than 2012 tells you the fuse number, don't use that number the fuse to pull in 2012 and newer changed. You are better off adding a fuse switch or a hot 12 v line from the MH to the battery. Dick
