It's been interesting to watch Winnebago's moves within their diesel manufacturing capabilities this year. Earlier in the year they shut down the Oregon line at the old Country Coach factory, and shifted all diesel manufacturing to Forest City. They announced they would start up a new diesel assembly line in the 4th quarter of 2019. It was interesting that they basically winnowed down their diesel offerings to 2...the Forza (which I think was always built in Iowa) and the Horizon. I assumed maybe this was because of the manufacturing shift, and that once the new assembly line was running they'd introduce another diesel model or two. Now I wonder how, or if, the Newmar purchase will impact future diesel lineup plans for the Winnie brand? Will continue to be interesting to watch.
