3 year old Suburban 6 gal DSI Hot Water Heater problems

Camped this weekend, first after winter.
Winterized by blowing out all lines, drained HW.

Pressurized system and no leaks. Yeah!!! (Especially w temps into single digits for a week!)

WH only gets lukewarm and DSI will not work.

Shut everything off, checked all breakers, fuzes and gas line...everything is ok. Still only lukewarm and no DSI ignitian.

Everything worked fine last fall.

Any ideas?

Thx, FH

Thx for replys!

Bled relief valve (always do that).

Did not move any valves since do air blow out not antifreeze.

Tried the reset buttons....nothing hppened.

Outside shower had both valves open but no head on it ... and after shutting those off she fired up on both electric AND dsi!
What does that do to lock down the HW heater???

Thx, FH

Do not bleed the relief valve, you want the air cushion for expansion.

You must have moved valves to get the lukewarm condition.

The reset buttons may have helped, it works now.

If the shower valves were open, then water would be gushing out unless there is a shutoff still functioning.

There is no connection between water valves and water pressure and the ability to make heat. If the water heater isn't full, it will be damaged if turned on.

There are two rubberized reset buttons near the top behind the outside panel ...

Outside shower valves left on while head is turned off?

So you are getting lukewarm water by heating with the electric element? If that is the case, you don't have the valves in the correct position, also check that the inside and outside showers valves are in the closed position.

Do not open the safety valve to bleed out air, use a faucet for that. Do check if the valve body is hot.

The gas burner is a separate issue, do you have a steady flame at the stove?
