At this point, it appears that it is an excellent substitute for the ELM3000 for RV use, even if its $299.00 price is higher than Pep-Boys "normal" price of $279.00 ($249.00 on sale - sale expired) for the ELM3000.
The advantage to this unit is the wheel kit. This feature is worth a little extra money.
