The info Paul Cole at Champion sent me showed a low reading of 68 dba at 7M from the muffler--same as the Elim. Higher readings on other sides. Maybe Champion publishes the highest reading rather than the lowest? Has anybody verified the Champion noise?
Another thought: I can't recall any literature or ad stating if this measurement is taken under load or unloaded. In the middle of a grass field or in the factory. All this makes a huge difference. The bottom line is always your EARS and there have been posts claiming it's very quiet.
