Unpacked the ELM3000 I bought over E-Bay and fired it up this morning. Engine runs fine, but I am not getting any electricity. I've tried it with each circuit breaker switch in the on position and with both on, but the voltage meter shows zero (on 110 or 240), and it will not even run a small fan I plugged in.
With the selector switch in the 220 position the needle twitches a little, but on 110 it is flat dead. Am I forgetting something? The 110 volt outlet, by the way, is polarized. I hope I haven't bought a $360 boat anchor. I'd appreciate any ideas.
