It also appears both sides of the duplex receptacles (high side to high side and low to low) are bridged. With this configuration a "dogbone" should not be a problem. Am I correct?
Yes, you are correct for your particular unit.
But, for others, I stress again: Not all Nikota's and other Chinese generators are wired this way. In fact, most are not. Be absolutely sure you know how your particular generator is made before bridging the outlets with a dogbone or any other device.
