AFAIK they both produce the same amount of power, I think the RV adapter comes with the HD model while the RV pug is built into the TC model
its really a matter of personal choice or availability or maybe price, if both stores are close at hand
I HP has a service network setup so if you have an 'issue' with the genny, you take it back to the store and they handle the fixing or replacement or what ever
if they are close to you , that could be a plus
