Professor, I did something similar on our 5er only I just did it to the 15,000 btu in the bedroom that way I can plug my 50 amp service into a 30 amp service thu an adapter and run a #12 extension cord from the pedestal 20 amp recptacle to the added circuit and be able to run both 15,000 btu units when their is no 50 amp service. Works well. Also I can also put the Champion in the bed of the truck if we wilkl be driving most of the day in the heat I can run the bedroom A/C so the 5er can be cooled down when we arrive.
