Happened to me. another source of noise is a cracked or broken fan or blower cage.. Seen all three in my time as a Full Timer (less than 10 years) and I'm not an RV service techl... I just sometimes help my neighbors.

True story> Neighbor had a no-longer made Carrier Air V. He had the broken blower cage. It is late Friday, Nearest parts place is 30 miles and likely closed when we get there. It's Georgia, He really needs that A/C. Where's he going to find a replacement?

Turns out I had one in my basement.

On an older Coleman Mach, the rubber mounts for the compressor got out of place somehow. I don't think it was quite like the problem OB described in newer Coleman units, but I know I was able to get them back in place and the vibration stopped.

Just think how many quarters and hotel room fees you are saving :)
I also vote for an out of balance fan - the power issues mentioned may have caused other issues too

Mine did that new. It was the mounting bolts. After it was tightened properly. No more vibration.

The bedroom A/C on my old fiver vibrated badly after about six months old. Pulled the cover and found all three bolts holding fan to the mount were really loose. Tightened them up and problem solved.

GO up on roof and remove shroud.

Get hold of motor and pull up on it....is it tight against AC pan?

Some Mach 8 had issue with one of the motor anchor bolts coming loose

I think it was a power issue. The weekend before this last we were up in NE Ohio. That was the first time it did it. I talked with the RV behind me, and they said there were power issues. When it did it again this past weekend, I figured it was something else. But we just got home, and I plugged it into our power here, and no vibration. I will watch it now. We will be going back out in a couple weeks.

Check your fan blades, mud daubers are famous for making nest on fan blades and throwing things out of balance and causing vibrations. :(

X2. I had this happen also. I dont know how that nest stays attached to the fan, but it does. Pull the cover / check the fan.

tighten the mounting bolts up they are way loose.Before you have a roof leak
