AC replacement

My GE AC bit the dust first week of operation. Warranty will replace with GE AC, which I now have no confidence in.

Considering RecPro 13.5K (Houghton) which seems to be the quietest, which is very important to me.

I would appreciate hearing of your experiences with this make AC and others.
  • If warranty will replace the broke unit at zero cost, go ahead and get it replaced. If that one dies,, then worry about a replacement
  • Almost all of the AC units are now made in China. The life expectancy went from 10 to 20 years for a USA made product to about 5.

This is just my opinion from my experience and from reading thousands of posts on the subject.

    Good luck on your decision............

Second that advice. when you have replacement insurance USE IT.

NOTE this: Every company, no matter how good, occasionally goofs and turns out a lemon.. And no matter how bad, the odd gold nugget.
