basement latch on 2003 Monaco stuck!!

I am unable to get the basement door open due to a stuck latch!! It is a 2003 Monaco Executive. The door is where you empty the waste tanks!! There is no way in that I can see. Any help would be appreciated. The wife

If it is stuck so the key can’t be turned while inserted in the lock, there is a workouround. With the key in, use vice grips on the lock to turn the whole lock. I did it with no damage to the lock but it is hard to get rid of the rust so better to replace it with a new one of the same size.
