Boliy Pro 3600 sie generator battery

I don't have one of these gens so I don't know the exact replacement battery but I have seen posts that other folks extended the wires and added a cheaper external battery to the gen.

Basically you would need to make a mount to hold and shelter the battery and simply add extra wire to the new battery.

Since the battery is dead, you have nothing to lose, cut the wires as close to the battery terminals as possible then add connectors of your choice to the remaining wires..

Pull the battery and go someplace like Batteries Plus and see if they have it. They had one for my dads wheelchair and it was odd.

try your local motorcycle ATV shop or lawnmower shop
one of them will have a replacement
cut the old leads at the battery
get a new battery with terminals

get a 'trickle charger' 2~4 amps
mount it on the generator, plug it into the unused duplex
everytime you run the genny it will be charging the battery

Problem solved - went down to the Battery Plus store and they had a replacement battery, same size with a little more capacity. I found some double terminal connectors at the car parts store and wired in my battery tender wires without having to cut any wires. Works perfectly and no more dead battery.

IBcarguy...was curious what you meant by wiring in your battery tender wires to the battery. My battery tender has clips, did you do something different? I too need to put two new batteries into my boliy and want to connect a maintenance charger to them. But with the soldered connections, not sure how, but it sounds like you figured it out. Also, do you connect a maintenance charger to both batteries or just one of em? If so, which one. I know this post was awhile ago but hopefully I can figure it out. Thanks in advance.

Each Boliy seems different. One generation may have the battery soldered in place, another generation uses slide-in clips.

I don't have this brand, but I should take heed to this advice and add a Battery Minder onto the starting battery of my Yamaha generator since summer is coming and in Texas, that means camping season is over for the most part.

I have a Boliy with the soldered in place battery cables...no problem!...they can be unsoldered with a heavy duty soldering iron (don't use a torch) then put new terminals on the wire ends to attach to your new battery...my battery tender came with clips and a separate 2 wire plug-in...I disconnected the battery wires at the other end (away from the battery) then threaded the plug end through the air vent on the side of the generator (next to the battery)...I just keep it plugged in when it's not being used, and the battery does fine.

Sorry if I'm asking dumb questions here. New to this stuff. My boliy has 2 batteries. A starter battery and a battery for the remote/electric start. When I buy new batteries, is there a connector that I can buy that connects the generator wires and also has another connection connection that I can attach the maintenance charger clips to? Also, do I need to buy a separate maintenance charger for both batteries or can I connect the batteries together via wire and then just run 1 charger for both? Its not a problem running a maintenance charger on both batteries, but if I do, I dont want to end up ruining the batteries if they are connected together and then I have two chargers plugged in....Thanks in advance!

Not sure about your situation, but I'd guess there is a separate charging circuit for each battery...otherwise 1 battery would serve both purposes...check your owners manual for a wiring schematic to see if the batteries are connected, or disconnect 1 battery, and check to see if there is voltage present on the disconnected wires...if voltage is present, that means they are interconnected and one charger would work.
