Brake controler issues

A friend is heading out cross country tomorrow and his bc is acting up. He says it gives 15% at all times when hitched up but the manual control works fine.

The bc was swaped pit for a new one of the same make and the truck has a new brake switch.
I was going to suggest a bad ground but hes not auper handy so hes coming over tomorrow so we can have a look. Any insight would be appreciated.

Truck is a 2007 chev 1500, bc is a husky proportional and the tt is a kodiak hybrid.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.
  • What angle is the BC mounted at? If it's too much, or not enough depending on what it's specs are, it might not be able to read the amount of braking needed??

If the manual slide bar works the brakes fine, then it's not a wiring issue. I have no experience with the Husky BC, but I've used a Prodigy after using a cheap BC before that and it was a world of difference with the Prodigy..

    Good luck,

    Mitch
