Their newer phones are "dual tower" so you do get coverage from both Verizon and AT&T from one device. It is seamless and invisible to the end user.

Yup pianotuna is right!
It uses both providers for Straight Talk now cards now.

That is why you won't see the blue or red usa map on the bottom anymore that depicted the card was either verizon or att. Because they ARE both now.

I live rurally and it still makes me laugh when my neighbors can't get a signal in their house but can when they go up town or vice a versa using a Verizon or Att 'only' provider.

Me? I got service all over full bars with my Straight Talk cause it uses both verizon and att towers which ever one is closer.

I thought Straight Talk was a hokey provider for burner phones but I kicked my iphone and high bills to the curb and haven't looked back.:B

That is correct, it only works in USA.

Just couldn't deal with the high iPhone bills and the constant upgrading to a new phone just to have everything work on it.

So I ditched the iPhone and high bills and got straight talk for $45 bucks. Best thing I have ever done.

For internet I have Sprint Mobile broad band usb.
Stick the usb stick in any computer, and/or laptop and take the laptop anywhere you want and you have internet. $65 bucks a month.
I did buy this over 10 years ago so I am grandfathered in with unlimited data. But they still have IMHO the best plans.

Traveled all over as a full timer and was "never without service".
Except in one tiny town called Albany, Ga. That place was the devils triangle NO ONE had phone service or internet no matter what provider they had!! It was real eerie.

We were all over Arizona, and southern NM last spring and never lost service on T Mobile. That was our “ trial “ as to whether or not to keep it. With no contract was not a concern to us. A plus for some people is that T Mobil service is same as many foreign countries as is. Per Clark Howard (radio show) they are now the fastest growing cell company in the US.

I doubt that Straight Talk will work in Canada. For the US, they have plans for $35 for 2GB, $45 for 10GB, and $55 for "Unlimited". There are restrictions for the unlimited.

His was on AT&T, which is what struck me as strange because the particular bar is next to a state highway that has great coverage.

Maybe a POS phone, was an LG I believe.

And you may be right about the few too many, at least eventually, it takes a while, years and years of experience. LOL.
