High Point Microwave Warranty Card

I've been filling out warranty cards on our new fiver and when I got to the one for the High Point Microwave I couldn't find an address, there is a street address and I believe a city but no state or zip code. There is no address in the manual and when I google High Point Microwave there is nothing that comes up that gives me an address.

Anybody out there have a clue? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Online or snail mail card, it IS the same old "marketing" gimmick.

Online actually can be far worse since once they get your email address there is no way to get rid of the endless marketing emails short of abandoning the email address and starting with a new address..

Throw those cards away and don't look back, they are not required for any warranty.. Otherwise you are openly giving those companies free info about you..

Since this thread started almost 4 years ago, and ended almost 2 years ago, I think it may be a little late now.

IMHO, filling out those warranty cards isn't worth the stamps it takes to mail them. Filling out the card is not required to ensure coverage under the warranty (it was expressly forbidden by the Moss-Magnuson Warranty Act) and doesn't relieve you of the responsibility of keeping a proof of purchase receipt so you can prove when you bought it. For the most part, the cards just provide the companies with marketing data about you unless you are careful not to give them any.

X2!

Most companies get considerable amount of MARKETING INFORMATION out of you the buyer of the products when you fill out and return these cards.

It is nothing more than an in depth survey which often includes personal info like your income level, gender, age, personal interests. ALL things which are none of that companies business and has nothing in common with the product or warranty.

These cards are nothing more than a legal scam to part you from your personal info all so they can develop new products which might be of interest to you.

Just tuck them away with your manuals and forget about them...

I always register on line although if you make a warranty claim, they will need proof of purchase.

I suggest that you register all of you electrical appliances. There has been a few times that people have been contacted because of a possible defect, worse yet, electrical fires.

Interestingly, we're on our inaugural trip in our new travel trailer and the second time we used the microwave it just clicked and no power.

I'm guessing that I'll be miles ahead to just buy a regular name brand (is it necessary that I get one from an RV Products store?) and forget the warranty. It will cost probably $20 to send it in and probably be charged another $20 to get it back.

An update. The People at High Pointe could not have been nicer. We were instructed to cut the information sticker with the plug from the microwave, include the sticker from inside the door and, in about a week, they had sent us the new microwave to replace the one that failed.
The replacement has worked flawlessly.
I installed it myself.
We had no out-of-pocket expense at all except for mailing the cord and sticker.

No difference between an "RV" microwave and a Chinese cheapie from a big box store except for the name. The trick is finding the right size that can be mounted with the least amount of hassle.

Thanks to fordsooperdooty! I used the phone number & got a real person who gave me the cell phone # of Mr. Wang who is in charge of US product (415-308-4054). He addressed my issue (difficult to understand him due to accent) and confirmed the address in Schaumburg, IL.

The ONLY way you will get warranty on a High Point is thru the manufacturer of your RV. The High Point and Dometic type CHEAP Microwaves are not worth fixing and they are replaced when they malfunction under warranty. We cut the power cords off defective ones and throw them in the trash once we receive the replacement. Doug

ROFLMAO!!

Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are!

Thanks for the replies, I guess I will just forget about it and count on Jayco and the dealer for help if it blows up.
