Update
Reinstalled 4 of the 6 batteries, because I only had time to recondition 4 of them. I'll recondition the other two this winter when I have time.
Are they new batteries ? Nope. Are they good enough to do what I need ? Yes.
Went camping for 10 days. No AC power hook up. Didn't use the AC or microwave. But did run the fantastic fan all night was well as the radio, camper lights and recharged various devices at night. The lowest batter voltage I saw was 12.3V after a couple days of almost no sun due to smoke.
These batteries will probably get me by for another year or two.

"P.S. If what you say is true about your solar setup, how DID your batteries end up in such sad shape in the first place ??" 8 years, never desulpered them once. Solar charge controller only goes to 13.5V.
