How to drain fuel bowl on Onan 4BGEF?

Last August our genset quit working. Turned out we had a hole in the fuel line. I had that fixed, and it worked for a couple of times after that, and now it won't start. I can smell gas at the generator after trying to start it for a few minutes.

Fuel pump draws fuel from a gas can with clear hose, so I think the fuel pump is working. I removed the fuel filter and blew through it and it had no obstructions.

Perhaps my carburetor is gummed up?

I understand you can no longer buy Onan 4C. So I was going to try SeaFoam. I understand to use it I need to drain the carburetor fuel bowl, then run a high mixture of SeaFoam and gasoline through the fuel pump into the carb and let it sit for 1-3 days.

How do I drain the fuel bowl on my carb?

The generator is a 4BGEFA26101A.

Thanks,
Steve

There is a nut with a spring held screw. Undo the nut to remove bowl.

The nut on the bottom of the bowl has a spring on it. I thought that was an adjustment screw of some kind?

I have to take nut loose on bowl to remove it. It could be needle and seat clogged.

Have you checked the other basics, like making sure you have a spark? Is the spark plug wet or dry? If you can smell fuel, that implies to me that gas is getting through the carburetor and engine and into the exhaust stream; of course, it may not be at an appropriate mixture to run the engine.
