How to test/check dish hook up

Sportsman pull behind has 2 places outside to connect cable
One has cable label by it, located on the end outside the unit
the other not marked located front side of unit by eke box.
Unit has a room mt. Tv antenna.
Also over intertainment center next to the tv
Cable connector is piece of tubing 1/2 inch diameter extending about an inch
Not a clue what this is, when stick finger in it I feel nothing
It feels plugged, not a clue what that is

Inside by intertainment center an one in the bedroom
Has a place to attach cable.

Anyway tried both outside connectors to feed dish signal inside
Nothing.

Tried both rooms connecting tv to that output
Nothing. Is there a way I can test or find out why
Dish signal isn't coming in

Ran cable to receiver by pass the outlets perfect
No manual or wireing diagram, Excuse wording spelling iPhone little screen
  • If on the outside is labeled cable it means for regular cable from a campground for TV. Dish receivers have to have a direct run to the receiver in order to work. Be sure to have your tv set to cable to work.
  • x2 on a direct run from dish to receiver. I had so much signal loss using the onboard wiring it made watching tv very unpleasant (too many breaks in the line due to various connections). I created direct leads to the receivers and problems went away.

I found a small gap around the slide to run one line (living room), and wired a separate outdoor hookup and line for another line (bedroom).
