Morningstar Battery Temp Sensor

Hello all. I have a question on how to hook up the Remote Temp Sensor (RTS) on a Morningstar Sunsaver Duo charge controller. My 2008 Lance camper has (2) batteries that have their own vented boxes. The boxes are close to each other (8" apart), and share the venting. How do you hook up the RTS to both batteries? Can you run a parallel sensor to the other battery?

The instructions just tell you how to hook it up. Nothing in there about (2) batteries in seperate boxes or even how to hook up (2) banks of batteries with RTS which the Duo is designed for. Thanks

The Sensor is just that. It is attached to the Battery to monitor the Temperature so it doesn't matter where You connect it as long as it can "Feel" the Temperature.
Because Your Batteries are in separate Boxes You will need to decide which one to use. Or You could mount it between the two boxes if that is convenient. The fact that the Sensor has a Battery Terminal is because the Battery Post is an obvious point for attachment . it doesn't matter which Post that You use + or - is irrelevant !

One sensor connected to either terminal of either battery is fine.
You are just not going to have a big enough differential to matter.
