Multiple Electrical Problems

Since the battery was 10V take the next step and have it load tested. Best to find out it's condition now rather than later. Thanks for letting us know.

turns out some dope namely me left the battery disconnect switch in the wrong position. One flip of the switch and all my problems went away!

If you diddy-bop up and find a 10 volt battery after a long absence...

Turn out the lights, the party's over.

It's a core...nothing more...

10 V is a totally dead battery. 12.6 V is a fully charged battery.

Could battery be the problem? One of the two primary suspects.

Yep, dead battery.

Could be bad battery. Could be bad converter. Could be both. Bad converter may have killed the battery.

Check water in battery, and charge with separate battery charger. When fully charged, take it to auto parts place for load check.

Use VOM to check converter output, both at the converter and at the battery cable ends. Converter output should be anywhere from 13.2v to 14.6v, depending on the converter.

One of those tests will show you a problem.

Load check the batteries at a auto store but likely shot. With good batteries what is the charging voltage?

Could be a bad battery, or is the battery out of water, you do keep the water up in the battery up-correct? Or the the converter is bad, did you turn the 120 volt breaker to the converter all the way off and then back on? Probably time to get the voltmeter out and do some troubleshooting or hire someone.

Is converter charging ..........

With 120V AC input converter should have 13.2V DC output MINIMUM
If not........it is failing/failed
Need new converter AND most likely new battery

IF converter DC output good
Battery BAD
