Newmar Wiring

Can anyone tell me where the wiring for a backup camera would be in a Newmar Dutch Star (2003)? Backup camera doesn't seem to be getting power. Has worked in the past. Want to check the wiring, but don't know where they run it?
  • On your year. The Cable goes up the drivers front side windshield post to the roof. The cable then is under the Roof to sidewall Radius wrap and then exits into the rear cap on the drivers side. The only place you can check this cable is at that front windshield post and the connection on the back of the camera at Dash Monitor. Coming loose from the dash monitor is the most common cause. You just plug it back in. When you pull the rear Camera, you will have about 10 inches of slack inside the rear cap. BE VERY CAREFULL WHEN PULLING THIS CABLE OUT. Newmar rarely gave enough slack to get to the quick connect for the Camera to the feed cable. The Rear Camera is on about a 20 inch pigtail that connects to the 60 foot cable from the dash. IF you attempt to pull too hard, the cable connection disconnects and then you are screwed:B Been there, done this. ONE TIME. Luckily the Newmar was under warranty and Newmar paid to run a new 60 foot cable. DID NOT do that again:B Doug
