Anything RONGGG! With Painting A Red jug Yellow with Plastic Paint? One spray can otter dewer.
Authentic military jerry cans were heavy. I hoisted enough of them. Galvanized inside and out. Navy gray. Water jugs were aluminum with some kind of light yellow coating inside with a five inch cam-over latch.
Mex,
I suppose painting it could be OK, the downside however is with plastic molded cans the words Gasoline, Kerosene, Diesel are MOLDED into the plastic..
Metal cans not so much of a problem since it would be easy to paint the words on the new paint color..
Also, not sure just how stable those rattle can paints will be after splashing fuel on it.. Might blister the cheap EPA paint right off..
Heck, my Dad used to use the old style bulk 5 gallon oil cans for storing gas back in the day (60's-70's).. Those ones were all steel, had screw on spout plus a screw on vent.. Boy, I wish I had saved a few of them.. Had some Texaco, Wolf's Head, Quaker State ones, folks sell those for a premium price now days if you can find them..
