No hot water pressure

Thanks bill I will check it out. The problem is this Is an older RV and the way it's designed there is one small opening on the sink draws but I can't fit. Need to figure out a way to get in there

Andrew, I had the exact same problem you are experiencing, It was the hot out check valve (Back Flow Preventer $10.00). It is on the back of the tank on the hot out (Top ) water line. I would try everything to get at the back of that tank before going to the trouble of removing tank. You would have to disconnect elec., Propane and all those screws and sealant Plus unhook the water lines to pull the tank out. Plastic Drain plug means you have a Atwood Water Heater, No anno Rod. If I remove those little front screws can the unit be moved ?

Backflushing if it works will only be a temporary solution. Don't waste your time. You need to get to the check valve or whatever is causing the restriction. You might need to pull the heater. If you don't feel comfortable doing this than take it to an RV repair place.

Went out this morning before work and the hot side wasn't flowing again. I am going to try the back flush tonight and see if that works. There is no way to get at those back lines without removing all those little screws on the front of the unit. I am not sure what model the heater is all it has is a white plastic drain plug. Should I replace that with one of those rods

Hot water now flowing......whatever was blocking the flow must have dislodged. Start checking sink aerators, that will start plugging up when using hot side if debris is in hot plumbing lines.

No anode rod......
Is that because you have an Atwood WH (which doesn't use an anode rod)
Or Suburban WH and just don't have one installed??

I went out and did some looking . The only access I see is a small mess grading under my sink area that I would have to pull out to get out. I think if I remove some of the draws I might be able to squeeze in there. I may try the flush thing u suggested first. The funny thing is that I just went out and checked and the hot water is working right now. It also worked his morning don't know if what ever was clogged broke free or what .

You get to the valve from inside, remove a drawer or two and you will see the valve on the back side of the hw heater.

Yes..all water lines connect on backside of water heater tank(inside RV).

The 3 valves under your sink are the cold inlet, bypass and hot outlet.
Follow the lines to the WH Tank. May have to remove a panel, drawer etc. but there is some sort of access to the backside of WH tank.

As I stated in earlier post.....with 3 valve system you may NOT have any check valves, just the shut off valves.

If you do have check valve it is internal of the nipple screwed into tank and then line connection screws on to nipple.

You may just have a plugged fitting due to calcium/scale etc.
Do you have a Suburban WH with an anode rod (attached to drain plug) if so it may have fallen apart and clogged the hot outlet.
How often do you drain/flush water heater???

You can try to 'backflush' (before having to disconnect any fittings/lines)
Turn water supply off
Remove drain plug
CLOSE the cold inlet valve
OPEN the 'bypass' valve
Leave hot outlet valve OPEN
Leave all faucets CLOSED
Turn on water supply
Water will go thru bypass valve and to hot outlet line....with all faucets closed you may be able to get water to back feed thru hot outlet valve into WH and out drain hole and hopefully flush the debris out.

IF you do not get an water to flow then you have a severe blockage OR a check valve....then you WILL have to disconnect hot outlet line and fix/remove the blockage

Outside should be an access door under WH.
