Ryobi RYI2200 extended run caps

Question

Anyone buy or make one of these? I bought a Ryobi RYI2200 for a power outage, but I'd like to buy another to connect in parallel to run my pop-ups ac if we go dry camping. I went over 2 days an didn't finish off a 5 gallon gas can running the generator to power 2 frigs, 1 freezer, a couple of lights and keep the cell phones charged. Something tells me if I want to sleep all through the night I'll need more than just the gas in the tank.

Anyone have experience with these generators? I've already ordered some safety banana plugs to make my own parallel kit with 20amp ac and 30 amp plug outs. Should be an inexpensive and easy project.

In order for a extended run tank to work the generator has to have a fuel pump. I may be wrong but I believe the Honda EU generators are the only ones with a fuel pump. I have a 3 gallon extended run tank on my EU1000 and it works fine.

This thread never really went anywhere.the RYI2200 do have fuel pumps.  It looks like the cap is not a vented cap, but the generator does have a vent tube at the top.
