- tonymullExplorerJust looking on Amazon...looks like they are poly panels whereas Renogy's are mostly mono. Poly's are bigger and a bit less efficent, but cheaper. Make sure you are comparing poly to poly or mono to mono when price shopping. Otherwise it is pretty much how much space you have for them. The quality of the silicon is pretty standard but the wiring and frames vary depending on who assembled them.
- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
I would base my decision on price per watt, so long as there is room for the physical dimensions of the panel. Several folks here have had better results in poor conditions with poly panels. By pass diodes are important too. Research carefully and buy once. - Golden_HVACExplorerCheck out this website too.

You will want something with a frame on it. Then you can make roof mounts, and run UV rated #10 wire to the refrigerator vent, and on to the batteries.
If you buy a '12 volt nominal' panel, rated around 22 volts open circuit, then you can use a $25 PWM controller or MPPT, while a higher voltage panel will require a MPPT controller, and they can be much more expensive...
You can click on 'view posts' under my name, and search within that 'solar' for a complete description on how to install a solar system.
Good luck,
Fred.
