  • My youngest brother gave me a teeshirt about ten years ago showing a camper sitting inside a tent with tv, etc., and a solar panel.

The message was: "There is a fine line between a person's hobby and insanity". I still wear the shirt when camping in the MH.

    Don't laugh, people.
According to Scientific American - quite a reputable magazine - TV is linked to antisocial behavior and lower IQ:
    Does TV Rot your Brain?

They also found that children with inherited risk factors predisposing them to behavioral difficulties, will likely spend more time watching TV, so you can't blame the TV alone. But sitting all day in front of TV is not helping the situation, either.

iPhones and iPads can't be far behind TVs as far as addiction goes.

Video games on iPhones affect child development more than TV. What the game itself is doing to brain is one thing (some are useful, some not), plus the fact that games replace more conventional toys where child has to use imagination and physical activity.

With adults... hard to tell. Depends on what the Iphone/Ipad is used for.
