TC Refrigerator won't re-fire on LP. Thermocouple? but...

This seems weird to me, maybe someone can help? At first I thought thermocouple / pilot light but now I don't know? Fridge works fine in AC or DC modes but when I switch over to propane, it fires up and cools fine, but once it gets to temperature, it shuts off but won't fire back up automatically? And the "CHECK" light comes on. But if I power cycle it (turn it off and on or change modes) then it will fire right back up!

One more "weird" I noticed. If it's in propane mode, working and I plug into shore power, it auto changes to AC but the "CHECK" light comes on, is that normal?

Any ideas? Thanks

On Tech issues common to all/most RVs, this is the place to go for the most input. If the subject is unique to TCs, then the TC Forum would be the best choice. You can go with either, and we will not raise your dues.:B

Nope, weren't me. I live in the suburbs of El Dorado (formally Mud Springs), not to be confused with El Dorado Hills.

  • I thought normally that the only time the check light would come on is when in lp mode and it does not light. There is an electronic module that controls the lighting of the refrigerator. I had to replace one when having problems with an older dometic.

It could be that it is not "re-lighting"? it's weird that when I manually or automatically change it from AC to LP, it fires up and chills... But once it shuts off due to reaching temp, it will not re-fire and the "Check light" comes on? Like the pezio starter won't refire or the thermocouple is bad or???
