2004 3/4 ton Suburban with the Big Block 8.1

Hi Folks,

Some of you might remember about a year and a half ago, I was contemplating buying the Suburban in my subject line. Well I've got it and while I like the vehicle, I've come to understand that this truck is just WAY more than I need for my camper. I pulled the camper out to Tennessee this summer about 2500 miles round trip and the Suburban never even broke a sweat.

So here's my question for you folks. This is the Suburban with the 8.1 big block with the 4.10 rear end and it's 4wd. I hear on here all the time that this truck is a really sought after vehicle because it's so rare. The Blue Book value isn't that great. Is this thing rare enough that I can put a premium on the price? I'm thinking about just putting this out on Craigslist and asking a price that's 4-5K above blue book and just seeing what happens.

I've got my eye on a newer 3/4 ton suburban with the 6.0 and 6 speed transmission. The one I've got now is paid for, but I need a roadtrip vehicle (when not pulling the camper) and would like the added comforts and fuel mileage of a newer one.

Anyway, just rambling here but thought I'd open this up to people's thoughts on just how rare and sought after a vehicle like mine is.

Thanks!

P.S. I haven't decided to sell yet either since mine is paid for. I can buy LOTS of gas for the equivalent of a used car payment....
