2008 Jayco 19H seals (door and fold outs)

Hi,
This is my first post in this forum so I hope I get things right.
I have a 2008 Jayco 19H. I took it to the dealer to have the roof seals and the exterior seals inspected and repaired as needed.
The roof was resealed as I expected it to be as well as the exterior seals around the trim etc.
My question is around the door and the two fold outs. (I am talking about the trimmed are) it looks like they did not reseal at all.
On closer inspection though it has me wondering. Is there actually a gasket rather than a bead of caulking?
The seal around the door is very dark not black but darker. The area around the fold outs is a little lighter in colour.

This is an image of the rear bunk seal you can see on the right is new chalking the left is the old seal that has not been touched.

THis is the seal around the door.

Thanks Mike
  • Thanks for the replies above! I have had the roof resealed last week. And the caulking has been touched up as well. Thanks for the tip about the AC bolts as well.

  • agree that, from the pics, that's only trim and has nothing to do with sealing the bunk ends or preventing bunk leaks.
but it may be covering screws.
  • that is just a rubber trim, and in time, they do lose their whiteness and begin to yellow .... normal. They are there for cosmetic reasons only. With any Jayco Hybrid, your main concern is whats on the roof .... the caulking should be inspected yearly, as it will crack .... also, the 4 bolts on the A/C unit should be snugged yearly too, as the rubber gasket under the unit is a major cause of water damage on these trailers as well.
