2014 Bullet Premier 32BHPR Soft Floor Due To Water Repair

Hello

I am hoping someone here can give me some information on how to repair a section of floor that has become soft due to water. The area is located in front of the right side of the couch and goes towards the couch to the outer edge of the trailer under the slide (when it is extended). I know this is a laminated foam floor. I can't find any information or videos of how to repair this.

I pulled the carpet up and cut the vinyl flooring enough to see the wood material has turned to mush. The dealer is supposed to fix this but I would like to know what is involved and educate myself before handing it over. I don't really trust it will be a quality repair since they will be covering the cost. Any information with pics or videos would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
  • Thanks for the replies!

While searching around I found that some people are using a wood hardener after drying out the affected area. The area of concern is approx. 18" square and i would prefer not to rip things apart unless absolutely necessary. Does anyone have any experience using this and would it stiffen up the soft spot? The luan is not mildewed or mouldy, it's just soft and wet. If this would make the area rigid again I would be happy with it.
  • Hardener will not work, floor must be replaced. Might work on walls for a while but not a floor. What trailer so we know how it was constructed? Otherwise cannot tell you how to repair.
  • This should send a chilling message to all that current rv construction is not acceptable. I realize all metal floors like our Camplite are too expensive for general use, but really marine grade plywood purchased in bulk has to be considered in this discussion. This is pitiful.
  • Outdoors RV has marine plywood on floors and roof decks, aluminum frames, 2 inch vacuum bonded walls. You can get a better built trailer, hopefully the rest will start doing it better soon.
  • Good for outdoors rv. This forum and others must demand better methods and yes this industry needs reform. No 2014 should have mushy floor syndrome. Next is mold.
