- kw_00ExplorerI wonder what percent is the deisel version of the canyon/Colorado platform in sales... Toyota Tacoma has always been top sales in the mid sized market as far as I can recall.

- travelnutzExplorer IIThe July numbers alone say it all as displayed by the sales as to which manufacturer's pickup trucks are most wanted and are actually purchased:
GM 89,271
Ford 65,657
Ram 39,827
Toyota 27,054
Nissan 8,387
Honda 3,518
Looks like Ram should be getting very nervous because Toyota is so close in sales and may drop Ram to 4th soon. The sales leader, GM, sold 2.24 pickups to every Ram reported sold. Also, GM announced that they are going increase their production capability of pickups as the demand has outstripped their present manufacturing supply ability which is leaving so many dealers without any trucks to even sell.
Of note! Who knows how many Fiat Rams were actually sold because Ram has been knowingly inflating their actual sales numbers, been double counting, and are presently under federal investigation and has the documentation for it's knowingly having been inflating their actual sales numbers for years on end now? Toyota may be even closer to Ram in actual numbers of pickups sold already! - lbrjetExplorerI like the look of the smaller GM models. Ford definitely dropped the ball on this to have no competeing models and the sales numbers reflect that.

I do know that Ford has sold 4 less trucks and Ram has sold 4 more trucks than they would have with us. We use to be nothing but Ford for our heavy crew trucks but the last 4 have been Ram. I would like to see the number of trucks that are ordered for major fleets compared to just normal purchases. The fleets stay with Ford mostly because they already have the orders set up and it is easier to just keep it that way. I know that's the way it is around here anyway. It's more a political thing than anything. Play a little golf with the fleet manager and he'll buy from you. - midnightsadieExplorer IIjust wait it,s gotta come to a end, then all those trucks bought on loans will come due. me,no way would I pay $50k for a truck. or more
