Aux fuel (diesel) tank with pump NOT in bed?

I guess I missed your tail light thread and the quick perusal of your pictures didn't show the swing arm which is why I asked.

Remember my "Redneck" lights. I built a swing arm to mount my tire on, not a thing of beauty but it worked.

OP, not sure if other manufacturers offer it but if you go with Outfitter they can set the unit up with rear wall mounted 5 gallon Jerry can carriers. A former member here (since passed) had them on his Outfitter.

Still haven't heard why you can't just simply carry two 5 gallon jerry cans. The diesel appliances don't use enough diesel to warrant the need for an additional 20-50 gallons carried. Plenty of people travel the world in campers set up with diesel appliances. As far as diesel for the generator, I am not sure how much that will use, I guess it could be a little bit if you are runny the genny 24/7, and some people do that. Sitting by the campfire which your wife likes, does she also like the sound of a genny in the background too?

Just looking to add around 20-50g, definitely not contractor provoking sizes. :)

In fact, if I can simply replace the existing tank with a bigger one but have a way to take some out, that would work well!

Someone mentioned a special fuel cap but I can't seem to find that post. :(

Yes, but just as soon as you say that, you'll get the guy that just happens to notice, realizes what it is, and sends you home without a sticker.

I really don't see this as being much of an issue beyond a "what if" scenario. How thorough can the inspector be when he has to do multiple vehicles each day? It's not like a pre-launch inspection for NASA.

Don't they pretty much concentrate on windows, tires, lights, brakes, leaks, etc? Heck I remember my dad getting his "safety inspection" sticker delivered to our house when we lived in PA and the car had never even left the garage. But if it's that much of a concern a person could simply tuck the tap up out of the way and use a removable hose to fill the can.
