Bal X Chocks & Dexter Torflex Suspension ?

Hi All

I have a question about using the Bal X Chocks. I used them on our old TT that had springs, but our new TT does not have springs, it has the Dexter Torflex Suspension.

Now my question, does anyone else have this same setup on there TT who uses the Bal X Chocks, and if so, do you think that putting pressure for a extended time between the tires will damage or flatten the rubber in the axle tub ?

Thanks!
  • I use them and dont think that there is that much pressure on them. Sure you crank them until they are tight to get them to work but the majority of the pressure is on the tire itself. Ive thought sometimes about that aspect though. Can the tires get flat spots from them if you crank them too tight?
  • With the amount of road force/stress the axles are subjected to using a chock will apply far less pressure. Your trailer has a constant weight of thousands of pounds sitting on the axles including bouncing down the road which does not distort any rubber so doubtful you would have any problems resulting from chock usage. You will be fine. I use them on my torsion set-up the last 4 years with no issues.
