What baloney! Sounds like marketing research for accessories. No one who takes bikes camping is worried about much of the accessories you seem to be interested in - umbrella holder? An exception might be water bottle. There - Survey completed.

"We" being the people on this forum? I had no idea about that, but I don't see how the questions in the survey could harm anybody. Anyway, if people don't want to take the survey they don't have to.

You actually help me a lot by saying this, since I'm trying to find out what bike accessories are most important to people. I don't use any myself (you seem to think I'm interested in them? How so?), so I can totally believe you only care about the one you mention. Thank you!

The first questions are regarding types of accessories, while most after are about how people use them. That's most important for my project.

I looked at the survey and I think that the way that bikes are used by most in the US is much different than in The Netherlands. Here for most people they are for pleasure and or as a secondary means of transportation. One exception might be College students. In The Netherlands and other urban environments it is common for a bike to be a primary means of transportation. As a result you might find that the responses to your survey from the US are very different than from respondents in the EU or Asia.

By the way we our son is considering a semester to full year of study in Delft. It's a really nice place.

I also took the survey.
It did ask for sex, age range and nationality. I didn't consider that personal.

I agree with Drippin, I don't think this survey will do much for American bike riders. But, I've been wrong before.

Nice to hear, Delft is a nice place indeed.

I'm targeting the Dutch/EU people that ride the bikes for pleasure, so the US results might nog be that bad. I will be able to filter the results per nationality, so I can compare them.

I'd be happy to take it but, I don't ride a bike. I walk instead.

I'm 51 years old, I don't have a very good sense of balance, and I'm afraid of falling from a bike. At my age this could cause worse injuries then when you are young.

Besides, to get a decent bike around here you have to spend at least several hundred dollars and because I would only use the bike a few times a year I don't wish to spend that much money on one.
