- RbertalottoExplorer"It's a rental....Let's go mental!"
- pezvelaExplorerWhen I saw that pic at the top, the first thing I thought was, "has to be someone from Saskatchewan". LOL!!
- hedgeExplorerIt's a pretty old pic, it's been on multiple forums. Story I heard was that it was from somewhere near Valleyview, Alberta a couple years ago.
- JumboJetExplorerBack in the early 70s I saw a Cadillac car rigged with a fifth wheel hitch pulling a fifth wheel RV.
For a short pull the U-Haul would be fine with that load. It looks level sitting there. - GMCPU53ExplorerThis pic was posted last week on the general rv'ing issues forum. forum member loulou57 in responding to the post said : "This happened in south Saskatchewan last may. The same week, in Saskatchewan a small car was spotted with an atv strapped to the roof. : " Another forum member said it had already been posted last May and the topic went to 10 pages, I never saw it back then, glad it was reposted
Joe - Yeti_plusExplorerSaw this pic the other day. The person standing beside the 5 er is an R.C.M.P. officer who was as perplexed as we all are, but he gets to write traffic tickets.
- mi_drewExplorerI am new here so for what its worth, when you zoom in it looks like the Uhaul and pickup on trailer are parked in front of the 5er and the guy in the Uhaul is posing for the photo. There is a post close to the 5er and what could be a stand under the front. Just saying.
- jefe_4x4ExplorerYou know, nothing rides like a U-haul truck or trailer. Nothing corners, or brakes, or off-roads like a rental truck and trailer. Nothing goes down the road straighter than a rental rig. Nothing makes donuts or figure 8ths easier than an overloaded rental truck. Nothing is more fun than a rental.
Nothing.
A while back on the Dodge Diesel forum there was a contest to see who hauled the most impressive loads with a Dodge 3500. Hands down the winner was (with pix!) a Kansas dairy farmer who hitched up his hay wagon/trailer to his pickup. I think it was a pintel, bumper pull. Not a problem as he was only going a few miles on back road pavement with his....... 56,000 pound load! It was impressive. I believe the trailer was one of those heavy equipment/8 wheel tandem style trailers. The pickup looked like a toy below that 16' of hay clearance that went on and on. He said he didn't go fast enough to use the brakes.
jefe - stickbowjoeExplorerSparky said it all.
We ain't responsible for morons.
Or explaining their motivations.
Joe. - SugarHillCTDExplorerThat cannot be legal.
Imagine what a state trooper is going to think??
IIRC, (if we ignore the strange weight distribution on the trailer) a double tow is legal in some states IF the front hitch is a fifth wheel.
But the picture is just some really stupid people.
