Calling all RAM 2500 fiver owners

Say what? Ford says it is normal. Cherry picking season is open.

The only case on the TDR site of new RAMs with death wobble was one one with a leveling kit, yet Fish found several.

As already pointed out these are all 2013 vehicles. I believe the redesign was introduced on the 2013.5 RAM HDs.

As far as the Ford video, I would like to see the outside of the posters truck, something tells me he has over-sized tires and is posting a misleading video.

I specifically posted 3500 '13 trucks since they had the new suspension/frame setup. Here's some '14 truck too.

Posting that a Ford has the same issue as a Ram.

I have never had this issue on my 2001, but will say that one of the first things I did to help with a bit of wander, was to add a steering shaft brace. This could the simple fix for both.
Not sure if the videos inside or outside look scarier, the outside view on the Ford looks really bad and it has stock sized tires.

I'm feeling just fine... You know the guy just has to be called out. Sorry to interfere but when the fanboy posts just down right false information someone has to call him out and I do it to this guy all the time. And yes Ford has the same issue as well. All SFA trucks can be susceptible to this issue. Worn tires, underinflated tires, worn or damaged suspension parts can cause this problem.

At a measly 84k miles my truck hasn't done it either, but to say it's not a concern to anyone would flat out be a lie.

Yet you blow a gasket when anybody mentions the very real (and very expensive) CP4 injection pump issue to prospective Ford buyers. Weird.

He could have said, "no it appears to be still happening to some trucks", but that is not part of his agenda here on RV.net. He would rather bash products and people than provide useful informative information in an unbiased manner.

We all know it is not an universal problem put does happen to some Ford and RAM trucks.

Im all for being fully informed when making a decision. Being armed with the FACTS, and doing the math myself, I feel far more comfortable. If I exceed any of the recommended factors, I do so at my risk, and by being fully cognizant of what Im doing. If my brakes fail to stop me in time because I was over weight, I don't think saying that the guys on RV.NET thought max numbers weren't important would fly.. either legally, morally or ethically.

I read this thread with interest, because Im thinking of upgrading to a Dodge Ram 2500 Turbo Diesel...Just because I can, and to have plenty of power and margin. That, and I've always been a fan of Dodge trucks, even though I currently have a GMC.

I started the thread because I am a new owner of a RAM 2500 CTD. The fifth wheel that I desire would technically be too heavy in terms of pay load assuming a loaded pin weight of 2,500-2,800 lbs. I would still be under the RAWR and tire rating. If my Ram was a gasser, I know that I would be good to go. That is why I was hoping to tap into the experience of other Ram 2500 owners who are probably towing under similar circumstances.
