Camper Bedding Question from newbie

Hello,
We just purchased our first camper, a Shamrock 233S. I'm trying to figure out the bedding. Do I need to purchase queen short sheets, or can I get regular queen sheets to work? If I do have to get special sheets, any advice on where to purchase? They seem very expensive.

Thanks for any tips!

We use a simple cotton duvet cover as a sheet. Works like a big pillow case for the mattress. Got it at the thrift store for $5.

We just have some mismatched blankets! Goodwill is a good place to find stuff for the camper!

Sheets?! ๐Ÿ™‚ Really? Camping time is not the time to be messing with bed making every morning.

Get some king size sleeping bags and just throw them on the beds. We're still using the sleeping bags we got with our Coleman Bayside 13 or 14 years ago. They go into the large commercial washer at the self-laundry at the beginning of ever season. For the needlessly fussy ๐Ÿ™‚ you can get sleeping bag liners and wash more frequently.

We use a king size flannel bottom sheet over the mattress itself to keep it clean. And with small dogs a waterproof sheet under the flannel sheet.

The cheapie sheets from good old Walmart work just fine. The mattresses are not terribly thick and the sheets are not designed for the thicker ones, so you'll be good. We used them in our 23SS for 7 years and they moved to the new home along with the ROO a couple of years ago. Never tried the knit ones, but if you find some queen size flannel on closeout, they're really nice in the winter. You'll LOVE the heated mattresses. Happy camping!

Those knit sheets seem to shrink up in size to fit the RV mattress pretty well.

X2. We just open up sleeping bags and lay them flat over the mattress.

Bought our sheets at Wal-Mart. Fits ok. Used to use straps but were just a hassle when folding up mattress for traveling. Just use sheet on mattress and then use either sleeping bag, blankets or cover sheet.
Congrats on the new camper and have fun, that's what it's all about.

We bought a cheap set of suspenders, ($4?)
and separated the straps.Used one each way under the mattress.

We also use the clip straps. Just got mine at Walmart. Keeps the sheet on as well as tucking any extra you might have. Those short queen sheets cost a fortune.

I have always used regular sized sheets and blankets on all of my RV beds, from a popup to hybrid to TT to 5er. I purchased the EZ clip straps to hold the sheets in the right location and to keep them from moving around on the mattress. I purchased one set of mine from Walmart, then couldn't find them there and had to purchase a set from Bed Bath and Beyond.

Here is a place to get them online.
