- jefe_4x4ExplorerAdmin,
Good detective work here. I'm cognizant of the fact that this is not part of your job description and I am appreciative of your efforts. By all means, post the results of any changes that make it easier for the users of RV.net. I'm still in the dark as to why this only effected maybe a handful of people on here, not hundreds. The per cent symbol is in the links provided by photobucket to almost all my posts. I've posted links to maybe 500 images on here over the years without incident.
Captcha, what a concept.
regards, as always, jefe - AdminModeratorWhen I looked at your dump, they all went to a page with a percent sign in them which at this time does not work.
As you found out the percent sign is a killer.
I have requested that this be fixed if possible with this software.
If is gets fixed, we will post it in the help section.
I certainly hope so, it messes me up too :E.
Admin - jefe_4x4ExplorerAdmin,
Most of the action about this issue is taking place on the Forum Help and Support page. My current thought is that a domain name (www.XXXXXXX.com) about a step manufacturer in my post caused the triphammer spam alert of reCaptua endless web of algorithms and subsequent barrier to post.
After dumping the DN and breaking the post into six bite size pieces, AND successfully posting same, all seems O.K. at the moment. I did all the cookie dropping, rebooting, and logging out that I could find to do. We have a good enough satellite internet (HughesNet). This dilemma even caused me to drop Safari and go to Google Chrome, which netted a slightly faster loading but did not cure the posting problem. - AdminModeratorJefe
If send me a copy of the report I might able supply some assistence.'
I personally have not run across the problem yet.

This issue is outside of the Moderators pay grade. This is an IT issue and only they can address the issue. Moderators have no access to IT. We are just as confused and frustrated as you are.
I notified the Moderato and am awaiting a response. It wouldn't as bad if...the darned site would tell me what is wrong with my post. I read mine again and find:
1. a domain address of a company that made my original steps for the TC. People on the TC forum seem to like detail.
2. 5 or 6 photos showing and explaining my long climb to find the best steps/stairs for said TC.
Quite a bit of text, since that is what i do.
If they want short little nothings as responses to problems or queries, just to fit their I.T. security, they can count me out.
I'll wait one more day.

They are saying now that it has to do with the size of your response and the number of images you post.
I had the same problem today while trying to put up the long post of the trip reports. short 2 word response was no problem.
All I did was to log out then log back in and the problem went away. I did not have to clear cache, cookies, or even close the internet explorer. - jefe_4x4ExplorerI notified the Moderato and am awaiting a response. jefe - jefe_4x4ExplorerIt's back! "I am not a robot" and a dozen algorithms later I was still unable to post my long reply to the stairs/ladders thread and kept meeting the grinch that stole my forum. Went to the Forum help and found I'm not the only one who is experiencing this. They are saying now that it has to do with the size of your response and the number of images you post. Many on here who do just post short, pic-less responses report having no problems. But what is the limit? If they want short, lifeless responses, with no pix, then just tell us. If that's the direction the I.T. is going, I'll have no part of it.
You know, life is too short to put up with this. If they don't want my input, fine, I'll find another venue. I've already got other venues.
Thanks to all you interesting folks, It's been a good ride here on the TC forum.
