Carrying a Generator/Gas Can While Traveling

Both in bed of truck. I only lock them down if the truck will be left alone, otherwise just strapped down. The lock is a 1/2 inch cable.
I carry the gennies (2 Honda 2000w) to the rear of the TT. If we leave and the gennies will be unattended I lock them to the TT bumper where they will be the least visible to any passersby and throw a camo tarp over them. It would not fool anyone who would walk up to our rig and start looking around, but at least they are not obvious to any casual observer driving around looking for opportunities.
The tarp is a couple yards of camo fabric from Walmart.
