Cracked Flooring

Went to TT this morning for the first time since last fall. Wife and I have been talking about trading it in for something with a larger Bathroom. So when we arrived and opened the door, we got a big surprise. The flooring had three different areas where it split open about a foot long. WTH. Now I have heard about this happening and I understand why, but jeese I have other things I need to do, now this. DW wants to put down those 12x12 self stick tiles, cause we want to get rid of it. I know thats not going to work, but don't want to put a lot of money into it. If we were going to keep it, it would be different. It's 11 years old and payed for, but trade in value is not going to be very good as it is. So what, maybe I should just suck it up and put something down like allure flooring, or find something cheap. What would you do.

    I went to a discount place and bought heavy duty vinyl for not much money. A lot of people use Allure as well.

    I know if I went to look at a camper and it had peel and stick floor I would just walk away.

    I like the foot square self stick tile idea myself. have used them in houses.

    Leave it as it is. You won't recoup the cost of anything you put into it so why do anything.

    My 22', no slide Starcraft had 60 sq. ft. of floor covering. Sheet vinyl or laminate plank can be had for around $1/ft.

    So your 22-foot trailer is less than 3-feet wide?

    A post like this comes up every Spring. The floor is not glued down and as the temp changes it expands and contracts. It is fastened down under all the cabinets etc. It is put in place then the interior is built over it. Very inexpensive to repair. Self stick tiles will not stay in place. Cut the old sheet out around all the cabinets etc. Use it for a pattern on the new material. Lay it in place and hold it down around the edges with 1/4 round. Done. I would replace it and try to get the most out of your trade you can get.

    Take it to the dealer as is and ask for a price. Then ask how much they would give you with a new floor in it. I bet you that extra $150 won't pay for the new floor and all the work. If you are planning to sell it yourself privately, put in the new floor.

    Thanks for the replies. I will trade it in the way it is. There is nothing wrong that is not Fixable, or that is an expensive fix.
