was your 2007 the new body style or classic? i can measure my 09 shortly

between 42 and 43" kinda depending on your measuring points

Is thought that bed is deeper, or the bedrails are higher off the ground?

I was thrown off by the appearance of several Fords on one lot, turned out the difference was size of wheels, beds were equal depth.

So I'm curious what the measurement is on the 2015HD GM truck beds. (bed floor to top of bed rail)

That's the only thing I don't have in my fleet yet is a GMT1000.

my 2009 is about 1'9"

N-Trouble, I did go to the dealer today & measured my old truck & you are right they are both pretty much the same,Yea I did have a couple of people at the dealership tell me that.Thanks for all the info.

Those bed rail have gotten progressively taller over the years. Just look at any PU 10 or more years back, and i bet you will find the new bed rails 5 or more inches taller today. Thus if you have an older fiver, and are looking for a new ride, you will not be able to pull your older fiver as the bed rail are to tall. Just go out and measure you fivers snout, then the truck rail. do you have that 4 to 6 inch difference? I bet not. And when you go to a 4X4, it is even worse.
